When reading stories of great women with my daughter, she always chose the fair-skinned characters. One day, she told me, “Brown isn’t a nice colour, Mummy.”

That moment changed everything.

We began searching for the stories of powerful African queens—women who looked like her, who shared our heritage, strength, and beauty. But I realized something else: even her dress-up closet was filled with princesses who looked nothing like her.

So, Royal Me was born.

Inspired by real African queens, our costumes are more than outfits—they are confidence woven into gowns, courage shaped into crowns, and self-love stitched into every detail.

Because our children deserve to see themselves as royalty.
